Garfield strip without Garfield's thought balloons

News Details

Reading Garfield without Garfield's wisecracking really gives the entire strip a bold new flavor.

An interesting thing...if you remove Garfield's thought balloons, it goes from an unfunny comic to a rather sad, poignant story about a lonely man who has wasted his life talking to his cat.

Now it's an even sadder story about a lonely man who wastes his life drawing a comic about a lonely man who wastes his life talking to his cat.

Hahaha, I saw all these a month ago and was just thinking about them today. It really is amazing how much funnier it gets.

Jon actually seems crazy and, perhaps, a bit schizophrenic. But, when you think about the fact that he hears what Garfield has to say... isn't that a bit schizo as well?

Nice find though
