Nintendo Wii Release Date and Pricetag Announced
News Details
Over this past week, Nintendo's made some big announcements. They consist of pricing for the games of the Virtual Console, the Opera Web Browser in the Wii, launch lists, but most of all, the release date and the price.
For North America and South America, the Wii will release at $249.99 on November 19. Games'll price out at about $49.99
For Europe, The Wii will hit December 8th priced at £179 in the UK and 249 Euros in Europe. Games will cost between £34-£39 (49-50 Euros).
And for Japan, it'll be December 2, selling for 25,000 yen.
I'm really excited, i've been waiting for the Wii ever since it's been named Revolution.

does anybody else remember when it was rumored the revolution would be $99 ? true, the wii pwns the original revolution specs, and is cheap for next gen, but its a bit frustrating i must say

wow thats a pretty good price. i was going to try to save for the ps3, but now i think i might go for the Wii.

Hmm, yes, i think the price is reasonable, yet still bloody high compared with what i have to spend. I really want one though, but i'll probably wait until they lower the price (yeah.. like, a year). Nice to know when it's out though, just in time for christmas (intelligent marketing). I love nintendo.

Time to start saving me thinks, though it's an awful lot more reasonable than the Xbox 360 and PS3.
