ever since electicity was "disovered", the world has been going down hill. I can see why people go and live in lancaster. life was so much easier back then. It only a matter of time before... we all die...

too bad we cant live on 2 planets... although i love technology and stuff like that, its not really worth it. and living in an amish paradise wont make anything better either. that kind of just running away from your problems. I think every major country should stop what theyre doing, and start researching time travel. then we can go back and murder Benjamin Franklin, and all will be how it should be.

Well I agree with Shivers, but in my opinion, if another WWIII would break out, which I think it will....then well, theres no stopping it really...

The end of the world as we know it will come in 20-40 years when nanotech is completely developed and we need to stop making babies right away, and also decide basically who lives for an extra 100 years and who dies. Let the "class' and moral wars begin ...but before that, we're headed for another cold war / M.A.D. (mutually assured destruction)

By the way, china is now shooting missiles at their own test satellites (thanks for the debris floating around  the earth now , really appreciate it). We're in deep and time is running out. Its not "while europe slept " anymore, its "while everyone in the world sat on their asses trying to talk it out with people hell bent on global domination" . We're making the same damn mistakes we made in WWII, we underestimated the threat and we're letting it get larger and larger instead of cutting it off at the knees.

Regardless of who's fault we think this is, the time for fingerpointing is over. We need to do something, fast.

i think that would be an entirely different clock.  the doomsday clock is exclusively "destruction by nuclear war".

but i get what you are saying...  i think if there is an end, it wont be purely nuclear.  hell, it is estimated that in 40-50 years we will run out of fossil fuels...  we had riots when there was a shortage before, imagine if it was all gone...  thank god i'll be dead by then

i dont think the danger is as much the nuclear stuff, but allso environmental hazards which are long known as well and still havent been fixed.
