Game & Watch (Level 1 Rookie) at 6/13/2009 1:12:09 AM

Holy crap, lots of submissions this week!

Too bad I didn't have time entering this time..

Metaru (Level 8 Brigadier General) at 6/10/2009 6:12:19 PM

Twinbee Ships have genders.

same as Opa Opa.

and some say that Vic Viper may be a sentient ship.

jalonso (Level 11 Godfather) at 6/10/2009 6:10:55 PM

It didn't entirely suck. It was not sent back for revision ;)

xtr3mz (Level 1 Rookie) at 6/10/2009 7:07:11 AM

thx a lot, I'll change my pixels.

dpixel (Level 6 Major) at 6/10/2009 3:19:32 AM

That first example is more appealing to me and I'm sure others might feel that way.  I started something and wasn't quite sure what direction to take it.

@xtr3mz, I wouldn't think a background would be allowed since this is supposed to be just a sprite.

xtr3mz (Level 1 Rookie) at 6/10/2009 1:14:00 AM

Could I draw a planet as background?

jalonso (Level 11 Godfather) at 6/9/2009 9:36:21 PM

@dpixel, do not steer too far away from side view,k.

Actually that example should not even be on there at all.

Dr D (Level 2 Kukyu) at 6/9/2009 9:21:26 PM

Ships have genders?

And I was wondering the same thing about the side view (it might be kind of boring at a full on straight side view.), so I'll just assume it can be somewhat tilted, as long as it shows most of the side?

dpixel (Level 6 Major) at 6/9/2009 5:45:58 PM

Question:  The fist example: http://www.pixeljoint.com/pixelart/17107.htm is not 100% from the side.  Since this perspective is in the example can I assume it's ok?  I mean slightly turned a bit?

Kaiseto (Level 6 Made) at 6/9/2009 4:52:53 PM

We just had an incredibly similar challenge to that, though.

tripnfelt (Level 4 Shichikyu) at 6/9/2009 10:39:00 AM

a male and female version of a ship would have made for a better challenge.

Lollige (Level 11 Psychopath) at 6/8/2009 11:47:12 AM

I was like 'hmmm.. maybe I should do a quick check before I say such a thing.' But I was on school and my work said no. Yet I did not lie, I did not remember it. Thanks for refreshing, it is much worth it! (And not his only sideview work)

-ViC- (Level 5 Sniper) at 6/8/2009 11:17:23 AM

Mind if I refresh your memories? :)

this is going to be fun

fawful (Level 5 Rokkyu) at 6/8/2009 3:17:36 AM

Might try my hand at some animation...

Lollige (Level 11 Psychopath) at 6/8/2009 1:01:10 AM

I can not remember any side view ships from squirrel, and I would be interested in his take on it :)

xXHalfieXx (Level 4 Lieutenant) at 6/8/2009 12:32:27 AM

I was thinking the same exact thing.

Kaiseto (Level 6 Made) at 6/8/2009 12:12:18 AM

Well, this is a gimme for squirellsquid :p
