Ok so here it is. Tough guy concept is my obsession lately. I've tried to minimize the color count (11 at the moment). 21x21 px except the punk and devil.

I'm planning to add lots of stuff here and there. Also the animated stuff aren't here yet. Still, C&C welcome. What's even more welcome is ideas for interesting smileys. Tried darth vader but doesn't work. Guess terminator would. hmm.. brb :P

@DB; thanks for the criticism! Yeah this is a 'tough guy' concept, hence the overall vulgar looks. Of course I can just change the smile into something more happy.

I might enter, but I don't know yet. It depends if I have time, and I have to really work hard on a player course challenge (for Powder Game) pretty much until the deadline because everything in it is so complicated... But anyway, might enter, not sure though.

@Hapiel; hey that's not my final set (see the post at the 18th of November) and I intend to update my set as long as the project continues.

And I like the idea that top 3 gets additional time to perfect their set. Right now I wouldn't have the motivation to add animated emoticons, but had I got chosen into top 3 I'd make them in 2 days.

Making smileys for fun.  I don't think they could be considered part of the challenge since they're specific to the default PJ theme.  And I'm having trouble getting the right brightness/contrast/lightness/saturation to make them readable with screens dimmed to a low brightness.  as for now they are mostly viewable with the monitor brightness medium to high :/

A lot of time, work, and dedication went into some of the entries here. A lot of which is to just make the site seem a little better. But... too just blow these artist off is truly a shame here!
