Hello everybody!

I am new here and when I submitted my first image for the gallery, it was rejected - of course. Unfortunately without any reason.

There was a comment there that said, that I shouldn't upload scaled up artwork.

But maybe you can tell me whats wrong with my image.

The pixel resolution of the artwork itself is 32x32 but the image you posted is 96x96. It's scaled up to three times the needed size. Pixeljoint has it's own zoom-in functionality so there's no need to post upscaled pieces.

ErekT is correct. Too much pre-scaling.
Use the 'edit it' under the art of that page to upload a revision.
