This is my house in Bracebridge ON. Canada.  I'm in the boonies so there will be many trees and shrubs and fern around.  No idea how im going to do that but we'll see when we get there.

Anyways I would love to hear some ideas for how well I'm doing first of all and secondly anything that I can do to make it really shine.  I'm trying to make it as detailed as possible.  Thanks BOI!

BTW this is my first attempt at pixel art.  Cool forum!

Your garage door is a giant hershey's bar?  I'm so jealous.  I'm wondering if those grasses and the driveway are hand pixeled.

Haha I wish, but choco gives me the runs.

I did the grass in the only way that I could think of.  Flat green, then pixelize, I think it was HSV spread or something then that looked to sharp and spikey so I blurred it.  Neat result.  Can you sudjest anything dude?

First off, every aspect need to be pixeled by hand, no fancy stuff.  Some shadows would be nice, not just one side of the house, but individual things as well.  The little girl's window looks slightly off, I'd suggest using darker lines where the curtain ends.  Nice details in the rooms.  Looking pretty good so far, but remember the grass and driveway need to be hand-pixeled.

ya thanks I thought the drive and grass looked a little out of wack anyway. Guess I gotta get down and dirty afterall.  But everything else is done pixel for pixel.  Ive spent 6 hrs on the house so far I guess. And 2 mins on the grass and driveway.   thankyou for your input. Any other tips u can mention?

The house is in iso perspective, but it doesn't look like the land is.

It looks like the inset (I assume) panels of the garage door are bumped out rather than being recessed. If you put the highlight colors where the shadow colors are, and vice versa, I think you'll get something closer to what you were going for.

First i would like to thank the feedback im getting. Makes me wanna work harder on my peice.  Morgan, forgive me but wouldnt the way i have the garage doors now make the most sense considering the lightsource is from above and to the left? let me know your logic behind your sudjestion.  Bifur, nice,  the bricks are not mirrored.  Nothing is played but the grass and driveway.  And what floor looks messed? Mainly its just carpeting.  Anywho cool guys thanks. More comments PLEASE!

I believe morgan was talking about making the bumpy parts of the garage doors go inwards rather than out, as normal garage doors would. By doing this you'll have to do how morgan explained in their post, rather than changing the light source, this should give the impression of the area being indented.

Once you've updated i suggest posting it up without the ground, so we can advise you more on the house so you can get that as well done as possible before you move onto the outside.

Keep it up.

Morgan.  Larwick.  I've looked 5 times now, yup the panels are not recessed. They do pop out.  I dunno maybe I have a freak garage door, maybe 80% of garage doors halve recessed panels but mine doesnt.  But just the same I will update it to Morgan's sudjestion because what the hell do I know, this is first try so I will take a chance and see if it looks better.  And I will remove the grass and drive too, looks played anyway.   Anything else for next update?

I just dont know what to do next.  So many details need to be shown but whats most important to the scene?

When making the next update and fixing the garage door, Do the same to all the bricks. They too are indented. Also oddly enough the window come out instead of being recessed. You may live in a wierd house :/

You just gave the location of where you live plus provided a picture of your house, over the internet! OSHI!

Anyway the door to the house looks too small compared to everything else. And basically what everyone else said. Its getting good :D

Hi guys and ghouls.  I see what ur sayin about the door, this house is wacked for sure.  But I took the liberty of adding in a pixel man (WHICH I DID NOT* MAKE) the man is NOT my work.   But it gives you a good idea of how big the door actually is.   I think the size of the house and the positioning of the door makes it look small.

Im continuing work expect great things soon!
