How ironic. the same person who proclaimed that my embarassment reached the max, invented a way to raise the 'max' bar. :D

If you're into puzzle games, I can highly recommend Tetris DS and Meteos. Tetris DS is just the same fantastic old Tetris, but also with new and interesting game modes, online multiplayer and some delightful Nintendo history thrown in the mix. Meteos is a little tricky to explain and it might not appeal to everyone, so I suggest you find a clone of the game online and play that first to see how you like it. Here's one (with a description of how to play), although it does lack the original's ability to make big combos that can result in full-screen launches (which is one of the best and most challenging parts of the game). I remember playing a good clone on Newgrounds but I can't seem to find it now.
Mario Kart DS, Animal Crossing: Wild World and New Super Mario Bros. are pretty sweet as well.

Unfortunately a lot of developers feel the need to make use of all the capabilities of the system, often resulting in 3D or NPA 2D games. I can't think of a single pure pixel art DS game at the moment (but my memory could be just failing me).
EDIT: Oh, there are a couple of games that allow you to make pixel art yourself. With Mario Kart DS' emblem editor you can slap your creations on your kart (albeit with a rather limited pallette), and Animal Crossing allows you to make 'designs' that you can use for clothing, flags, wallpaper and the like. It's pretty neat.

A long post in the Off-Topic Thread? Unpossible!

gba with it's sprite scaling and other capabilities wasn't pure PA either just to remind you :P

Wario Ware has a lot of extravagant art including PA, NPA and 3D.

Yoshi's Island DS and Kirby Squeak Squad have traditionally great PA combined with awesome hybrid art.

Zoo Keeper has one of the best and unique styles ever.

Tetris DS as mentioned is a MUST HAVE! great hybrid PA gfx

Super Princess Peach - don't laugh, this game kicks ass and so do the GFX. probably one of the msot pixelly ones on DS

Cooking Mama is kinda quirky but it's pixelart for sure :D

I'm getting Tetris for sure, always loved it and still do! Meteos, from the demo you showed me pb, doesn't seem like that much fun - it seems like a lot of thinking to me.

I'll check out the reviews for the other games - I want to get a Pokemon game, to see how much they've changed since Blue and Red (nope, haven't played any other ones!).

Studying is boring..
I agree that it's important and if you don't study you'll never accomplish anything in life.
But why the hell do I have to be able to name every bone in the human body if I'm not a bit interested in Biology?
And why the hell do I have to know when a certain dictator was born, did some stuff and died?
I wished I could drop those stupid classes and could learn some usefull stuff instead...
I don't know how it went with you guys but I can't drop any classes
...But I guess it all has a reason and I shouldn't be wasting time posting useless stuff here but instead go study

the boring and 'unneeded' classes are maybe the most necessary ones.

they make you understand that life is not peaches and cream, that sometimes you MUST do something you ABSOLUTELY don't like, and they're basically a tough challenge for you to beat your own 'too smart/cool to do this sh*t' attitude.

When you grow up you'll be the first one to tell everyone how instrumental these classes were for your maturation as a person.

Yeah, you are probably right, those classes will expand my global knowledge.

But they are still boring!
And I'm still here wasting my time

nah man I don't think the global knowledge and all-around education is the benefit.

the real benefit is the moment of beating your own ego/laziness. the moment of making yourself do it, even tho it's boring as sh*t and really, objectively, not really needed.

if you will break your laziness and make yourself do it, it'll help you a lot later.
including art of any kind... remember how many times you didn't draw something you initially kinda wanted to but then changed your mind.

No, I want to get a real job! I'm currently studying to become an architect or something close in that direction. My point is that I don't need those stupid classes for that. Off course Biology is important, else we shouldn't have had any docters, but to me it's useless. Most people would just drop the class because of that, but because I'm doing Gymnasium (not sure it's good english) I can't drop any classes and replace them with the ones I find usefull.

it doesnt necessarily have to be vital to your career, but its something you should know in life.  one of the best parts of being human is our thirst for knowledge other than "eat, poop, f**k, sleep".  so stop bitching about it and crack open a book.

oh, and biology will come up in that career path.  with conservation laws getting more and more strict, you wont only plan a buildings structure, but also how it effects the environment around it.  and i dont know about you, but when i go to a dr. about my pain, i like to say "i think i might have a stress fracture or pulled muscle in my lower back when i fell off the porch" rather than "i fell and my back hurt".

the difference between ignorance and intelligence is an education.

Yes, of course you should know a bit about biology, everyone should know how a heart works and some symptones of common diseases. But I don't find it necessary for me to know every single bone in the body(more then 200). And the stupid thing is that we have to be able to name them in Latin and in our own language...
But you are right, I should just stfu and study...

man.................
the point is
you may like it or not - it doesn't matter for the test
you may find it unnecesary (and you're right) - bit it still doesn't matter

even worse - thinking about how unnecessary it is, only makes it harder for you to concentrate on actually just passing the goddamn test

the more you think how much the test sucks - the more you're f**ked when the test time comes.

look man......
bottom line is:
complaining won't help. yes it's unnecessary. absolutely. I agree with  you too. SO WHAT???? you still HAVE to pass the test (unless you want to drop out of school).
and if you HAVE to do it anyway, what's the sense of philosophizing about whether knowing 200 bones is something you need?
f**k, of course you don't need it, but as far as passing the test goes you need to know it for that day.

really what ELSE do you want to hear from us??
nobody here can help you pass the test unless you pick up your ass and study those 200 bones in 2 languages.
that's the harsh truth of life.

Because my teacher game me that advice. He said that when I choose advanced Math and computer science(that's what wikipedia said it's called) as an extra subject I'm better off then choosing Nature and technics.
