![]() Topic: Ho Demiurgos (cross stitch)Posted: 28 January 2012 at 6:36am |

(I hope this is the correct place to post this in...)
I wanted to have ho demiurgos http://www.pixeljoint.com/pixelart/5481.htm# as a poster. But I didn't just want to print it out. So I asked my sister if she could cross stitch the picture if I converted the colors to the ones the (dmc) yarn is in. She said yes and began stitching. Now when she is done with it I thought you guys would be interested in the result: The color swap (left is the original) ![]() The result: ![]() And the back: ![]() Here is the imgur album with a few extra closeups and bigger images: http://imgur.com/a/Mlls6#0 As you can see the colors doesn't match up with the colorswaped image. It seems like the lookup table that I used for RGB values on DMC yarn were not 100% correct. But the result looks quite good none the less :) I had it framed after the pictures where taken. But I didn't take any pictures of it yet. I would like to thank Maciej Kuczyński (aka -DE-) for creating this awesome picture. I hope you guys enjoyed this post :) Edited by zedDB - 28 January 2012 at 6:41am |

I'll post a picture of it framed in my room so you can get a better approximation of the size. Originally posted by Sergiotron The result is amazing! I want! Thank you! :D Originally posted by Super17 Impressive, how long did it take to cross stitch? Well it took two years... My sister mostly worked on it when she didn't have anything else to do. She would normaly work some hours on it during the weekends. But there were months where she didn't work on it at all. She said it would have taken her about half a year if she didn't take long breaks. She were like: "I like this picture because his abs are so detailed :3" She wants to do more stuff from pixel joint so I think I will create a automated way to convert stuff to the "dmc yarn colorspace". It was really time consuming to convert the colors by hand. :P |

Your sister could probably sell small 10cm x 10cm prints online. That is truly a work of art.
