Pixel Joint Forum: Looking for help with a puff of smoke

   Hi,

I am pretty new at pixel art, and I was wondering if anyone here could help me with a bit of smoke animation I need to do.

I need to show something landing heavily from above, so I need a puff of smoke coming from under it. I have roughly worked out how it would look from the side, but I am struggling to make a birds eye view of the animation.

here is the test I have from the side.

I am just wondering if anyone here has any tips for creating this sort of effect?
