I'd like to make sure the pose is right and it doesn't look like she'll fall over or anything before I add detail and shade.
Opinions very welcome.

Edited the legs?

I'm not sure what you meant.

He means for you to stand in front of a mirror to make sure the pose you want is right. If your pose (that you do in front of the mirror) is similar to the pose in your pixel art, then you're golden. It's an easy way to make sure you're getting what you want.

As cure always says, Use references. have someone take a picture of you in the pose you need at the angle you want, or find one on Google and use the anatomy to guide you.

as for what you currently have, well it's a little plain to comment on.

All i can say is, the bent arm looks like a wobbly jelly arm. dunno why. it just looks like it makes a nice curve instead of looking like it has bone structure. maybe the shoulder is too high or the arm is too long? i don't know.

What kind of pose are you trying to convey? it seems like you're going for some sort of 'waiting around, hand on hip, i'm too cool for you' or 'hrmn, i wonder if i look good in this skirt' kind of pose. It helps to first establish what kind of vibes you want your character to give off before drawing a person in an expressionistic pose such as this, because body language will establish that characters personality to the person viewing the picture. right now, I'm getting mixed signals.

Anyways, references are great visual aids. Good luck.
