Made this a while ago and now want to post it just for suggestions and critiques you guys might have. I want to get better at rock textures while keeping them in rpg perspectives.

Rock formations are simplustic but ok. A few more irregularities could help. Crack over the eye fold maybe an ab one...a toe or two, etc.
I think you could have a more effective sprite if you follow the 3/4 rgp view and stack the knee and shoulder rocks over more and use shadow to emphasize perspective. Maybe half whatever you use on the addominal rock.
Can't make edit today so I hope you understand what I'm saying.

Thanks a lot for reply Jalonso! :D I posted it on Pixelation as well and Cyangmou replied the same. Using your and Cyangmou's suggestions and Alex's tutorial I got this as final product:

Its a bit too human looking now. I like the older version because its more rocky looking and cuter. You did angle it better...make the shadows darker to emphasize.
Sometimes if you have a model you can better visualize. Take some clay or playdoh and make a rough version and take a picture at 3/4 top down ;)

Wasn't happy with the head so remade it and because of it had to remake legs. Also I darkened the shadow colors as suggested by you.
