 Topic: Super Mega Creature Hatch-athon! Posted: 03 July 2005 at 11:29pm |
Newcomers read this:
Ok, so here's how it's going to happen.... Anybody may post an "egg". This "egg" can be anything from an egg, bean, robotic capsule, test tube with a sillhouette inside, anything like that. It will hint at what the resulting creature may be, but it will be pretty ambiguous as to what exactly the "egg" develops into. The second pixel artist will draw a resulting creature, stating the egg he used and respective artist. Here are two examples:

Have fun, lots of creative freedom with this! And feel free to "breed" any resulting creatures, by drawing the product of two creatures. Invadar+Frumpy= Frumpdar. Ewww...
Well...no comments...Here's a start!

Thanks! I am notoriously bad at isometric, and I'm not being modest. It's a miracle the egg looks so good. I guess I'll make some more eggs, feel free to do so also.

Obviously the shadowy egg. I shall call it "shady character"
( I don't know how to do the arrow and stuff, please either tell me how or do it for me )

All the other eggs make fun of these eggs.

(There are 2 because I didn't know which one the shading looked better on.)
You don't have to do 2 monster/things, theres just 2 eggs.

Born from a meteor/chocolate chip cookie. Shading looked better on the first egg so I used it.

perspective egg!
I am coming to enjoy isometrics
but doesn't anyone long for good old fashion perspective drawings anymore?
alas, I'm actually not all that GOOD at perspective, but here is a boxy egg-ish perspective thing, enjoy!

I thought I made it clear that it was perspective and not iso, oh well.
and maybe the formula looks similar, that was intentional. I was curious to see different interpretations of deceptively similar eggs. Sorry if this offended you in any way, I was just trying to play this game in an interesting manner.
and thanks for your comment about my horny guy. I wish I knew how to dither better :(
