CHALLENGE: Movember 'Stache

The month of Movember is now upon us, therefore we want you to make a portrait of an original character with a moustache (no real life people or existing characters).

Your character does not have to be male (or human!); you may decide to create a moustachioed miss or even a martian monster with a monstrous martian moustache if you so wish.

Canvas Size - Max 100 x 100.
Colours - Maximum 16.
Transparency - Optional.
Animation - Optional.

CHALLENGE RULES

  • Participants have until this upcoming Sunday at midnight (12AM Pacific) to submit their entry (strict). Don't forget to check the 'Submit to weekly challenge' checkbox.
  • Only new pixels allowed.
  • Open to all members.
  • Posting WIPs in this thread or in new threads in the WIP section is highly encouraged, but ONLY SUBMIT YOUR FINAL ART.

CHALLENGE JUDGING

  • Every Sunday at midnight (12AM Pacific) the previous week's entries are judged.
  • Every week a new voting poll will be posted for previous week's entries.
  • Winner announced the following week.

CHALLENGE PRIZES/GOODIES

  • Top three finishers will receive an award displayed in your PJ gallery profile for all to see and envy.
  • Top finisher gets to call the following week's challenge...sweet.
  • 'Participation' ribbons will be given for all who enter.
  • No matter what happens you get challenged :)

You're not quite done yet Oren. There's loads to be done and you still have loads of time left.

For example, up the contrast, lose the dither and give it a thick black outline (which will make it more cartoony). Anyways.. this pic is still a wip. Not finished..

A cool idea, if anyone had the gumption to try it, would be an animation of someone/thing growing a mustache and then shaving it off, looping.

I, however, am going to try some thing new for me.
Something cute~
All things posted by me are simply my opinion mixed with experience, I will make no claim to the otherwise~
I am most used to working with sprite outlines.

Looking good! One of my favorites so far. I think that defining the bridge of the nose, particularly at the bottom, as well as playing with the colors some more would really improve this piece. I mean there isnt even much of a restriction and you have two red on red tones? idk if im feeling it much. But still an otherwise excellent piece so far. I kind of messed with the colors a bit so forgive me,lol. Not all of them are that nice but w.e. it might give you an idea or somethingXD It reminds me a bit of warhol's stuff hence the color wallXD

Thanks SHANN0N! Have not messed with the nose yet and these colors are still temporary, but I think I'm just about done with the AA:



EDIT: Actually, I may add another AA shade for the black/yellow transition. sigh.

Its a toony style so don't try to make hair, just suggest it. I think KFejer, and kaiseto's gallery may help you...

...make a winter scene and give her earmuffs ...no really work on ears, mkay.

And yet still no moustache...hmmmm.

Colours are likely to change, be fixed up, and be injected with AA before submission. Also a background will likely to be implemented :)

Oh, and of course, a moustache!
