Hi guys, I'm going to try to not give up halfway on this one 8D
The first three are main characters, the fourth is generic.
Also, I was thinking of making a really weird half top-down, half straight on grid, so the tiles would be longer horizontally. What do you think?

And run cycle:

I'm guessing it's supposed to be behind them and so has been foreshortened *shruggs*

kinda an awkward way to run if you ask me. i can see you were trying to be creative with it and the legs are really well done but what you tried with the arms don't really work.

Of course, arms don't always have to pump when a character runs for example a bulky american football player running with their hand out in front of them with the other curled holding the ball or a ninja with one arm tucked near their tummy as the other is held firmly backwards etc etc.

i dunno. please explain what you were going for here?

Some kind of flapping their arm behind them as they run motion? i would understand if that arm was holding something as the other arm pumped but it doesn't make sense that the other doesn't pump if it isn't really doing anything else..

Thanks for the comments, guys!
Yeah, it was foreshortening + outstretched arm. It looks more like sausage though :D
One of her hands was supposed to be holding a weapon, and the other free. I think I ended up switching them though /facepalm

Is this any better?

Okay, so I'm stupid and suddenly made an iso version:

Do you guys prefer square or iso tiles for tactical rpg games? I figured if I had to change my mind, it should probably be now :P

I'm really ok with both as long as it looks nice.
Iso looks more dynamic imo though.

Really good Sprites, I like the standing ones.
The new running cycle is better, but maybe show us how it looks like with holding a weapon. Without, it looks weird not moving the arm.
