Cute character, funny panel. You've got a good deal of banding going on on the character himself where he's in shadow--the dark outline hugging the line of light pixels. Honestly, I'd consider greatly reducing or eliminating as much outlining as you can. If you think about it, you don't really need it when you're making an entire scene. ------------- |

thats a scene, not a portrait (i think), and the challenge asks for portraits... correct me if i am mistaken.

I would classify that as a portrait. I like it and even your first version that was not a portrait are cute and you should make something out of it. My only crit is that the mustache is not POPin enough for the challenge. Its fine if its not a challenge tho. Maybe the monocle can move left 1px ans the stache can be in the dark blue??? ------------- |

My lazyness tells me that the enlarged pic looks surprisingly good too..  I'll try to smoothen it out, but I'm not making any promises hehe Just decided to drop out of the challenge and finish it as a scene. Liked it better the way it was. ------------- Without me, it's just aweso |
