Hi, could you please make sure you submit a version of this that hasn't been affected by colour reduction.

What this means is taking an image that has a higher colour count, perhaps 45 or so, and then using a program like Photoshop to automatically lower the value to an arbitrary number, in this case 32.

When you do this you end up with weird looking artifacts that automatically appear and distort the appearance of your piece. For example, the pattern that can be clearly seen in the blue area (and in some other places too). I think if you look carefully in your original image you'll find that there are probably many areas that have very similar colours anyway, such as several colours that are very close to black. You could try removing those colours, if you are looking to reduce the colour count. Anyway, I made an image showing the main problem areas. Please try to fix this before the challenge deadline - around 11 hours at the time of writing.

Also, please write in your description what two genres you've combined, I can see romance, but I'm not sure of the other.

Looks great, I love the concept and the wacky sky; I just think it would probably look better without #ceccc0 and maybe ease up a bit on the clothing textures, right now they're probably a little too wrinkly. But, regardless still a very good piece :D

Hm, not sure if it didn't update or it wasn't clear what part I was talking about, anyway, I made an edit to illustrate my point. I feel that in your version the dithering is far too overt and doesn't really blend well.

BTW, great imagination with Gentleman Death; I can't look at that photo without seeing him. Makes me wanna go out and pixel a nearby restaurant, perhaps with a covert restaurant mascot too. Go go gadget resturant fad.

Great interpretation of the lines; but why have such a flat, symbolic heart? I think you could try doing something more exciting; have a look at these three images. They all retain their symbolic nature but still deviate from the flat, single colour, front-on style heart which doesn't seem appropriate for this kind of image.

Hawt. I'd dine there. Wonderful job on the palette, feels almost Seesixtyfour-ish. Love the wacky windows and the clouds.

Looks great; very cute :D You definitely captured the Syosa feel with this one. Perhaps could've used a bit more contrast though.

You could crop the part around your face and use it as the preview, that should fit nicely inside a 64 x 64 canvas.

Well...yes, is this a problem?

The spelling of the word 'colour' is determined by whoever wrote the challenge; in this case it was written by me, and being an Australian I naturally used the Australian English spelling. Both spellings (color and colour) can be  considered equally correct, so whichever the writer considers to be correct is the one which is used.

Anyway, apologies if my usage of the letter 'u' has offended anyone (!)

You can just set this to the preview image of your other image and then use that as your avatar.

Add a background; remove the palette.
