Lawrence @ 9/2/2009 9:26:41 AM commented on Asian Pinup Girl You say you pixeled this to get a "sharper look" but there's hardly a sharp edge anywhere because of the omni-antialiasing, hence why some people have mistaken it for a vector piece. It seems kind of pointless to pixel something which ends up having none of the aesthetics of PA. For example a piece like this has flat shading but the lack of aa gives it a distinctive pixelled look which you couldn't achieve any other way. Not having a go at you or anything but workflow is important.

Lawrence @ 8/15/2009 2:58:13 PM commented on Challenge entry Ordered dither can be very conspicuous. Maybe try playing around with pseudo-random dither or work the dither into the rock's texture.

Lawrence @ 8/3/2009 7:30:20 AM commented on Big Bird I agree with Hatch; Rome wasn't built in a day. Just frequently go a little bit out of your comfort-zone, then you won't get discouraged if a piece doesn't turn out as you hoped.
Lawrence @ 7/10/2009 7:49:09 AM commented on slash(animation) Your animations are really good. Just curious, how much time does it take you to make one like this?

Lawrence @ 4/21/2008 5:27:54 AM commented on Old Clock DoF is supposed to depend on the camera's z axis (pointing away from the camera) but you seem to have applied it on the camera's x and y axis. The part of the clock you have in focus is on the same z level as the top of the clock so both parts should be in equal focus.
Lawrence @ 4/2/2008 9:37:01 PM commented on Your computer will thank you~ I like the lack of aa on some parts; it give it a Yoshi's Island sketch feel.

Lawrence @ 2/19/2008 6:16:33 PM commented on Waiting Looks good, but the perspective doesn't converge to a vanishing point. You have this, when it should be something like this.
