RoboBOT @ 11/14/2009 9:30:29 PM commented on Dine In Whitepages.com tells me it's Sarajevo Fast Foods in NY. No surprises there... Nice piece! I love the perspective, and you did well with the limited palette. Nice job!
RoboBOT @ 11/5/2009 7:28:14 AM commented on Big Bird Um...Christmas day is the 25th of December...
RoboBOT @ 10/28/2009 3:19:43 PM commented on Big Bird I use Beneton Movie Gif. It's free, and you can control the delay of each frame. You can also import a batch of images, such as image1.bmp through image20.bmp or whatever, all in one go. It's pretty good for a free program.
RoboBOT @ 10/27/2009 1:34:59 PM commented on Rendezvous Delano - Enemies DeProgrammer is rather lucky, I feel! All the sprites you've done for his game are great. One question, tho: The two ball shaped ships on the left have two very different light sources. Is there a reason for that?
RoboBOT @ 10/25/2009 10:31:26 AM commented on All Hollowed You could have him reach back into the pumpkin, grab the lid, and hold it over his head as he goes back inside, thus replacing the lid. It would then transition nicely back to it being cut again (even tho that doesn't really make sense). Or you could just reverse frames, like Manupix said, so that he goes back in, and then the lid is raised back into place. Or, you could have him cut out the lid, and then lift it up so that he ends up wearing it like a hat. Then he just lowers back inside and the lid is replaced. Just a few ideas!
RoboBOT @ 10/24/2009 11:08:40 PM commented on Steampunk avatar Very nicely done! the strong lighting makes it look really good. And of course everyone loves steampunk! Minor detail: The steam coming from the smaller chimney thing doesn't read as well as the other chimney steam. I feel like it should move upwards as it fades away. Nice tho, I love the hat!
RoboBOT @ 10/24/2009 11:05:22 PM commented on All Hollowed Definitely make this loop! This is really great, tho! It's fun. Another idea is have a face being carved in it from the inside as well.
RoboBOT @ 10/24/2009 12:09:49 PM commented on Gluttony-Money to Burn You make drawing faces and hair seem so easy...I'm very jealous.
RoboBOT @ 10/23/2009 1:07:26 PM commented on Fire Transformation Wow, great animation! Looks good.
RoboBOT @ 10/22/2009 9:29:57 AM commented on Wrath Be My Name Wow, I just noticed his teeth, very cool! I like this piece a lot. Your use of the palette is really interesting. I think the blue under the nose does work, in my opinion. That eye bothers me too, less because of the dithering and more because it lacks shape. It looks like his iris and pupil are just floating in an empty socket. Why not make it look like the other eye, which is well done in my opinion? Still, it doesn't ruin the piece for me, it looks excellent. Nice job!
RoboBOT @ 10/17/2009 6:35:03 PM commented on Pumpkin Witch Nice, creative within the pumpkin theme, I like it! I love the colors and the thick outlines. Here are a few suggestions:
RoboBOT @ 10/15/2009 5:28:13 PM commented on (update) Valentine Style I think you should keep going on the AA. You completely missed some lines, and overall the lines are not as smooth as they could be. Overall the piece is beautiful, but would make more sense as a vector graphic.
RoboBOT @ 10/15/2009 1:20:02 PM commented on Bathulk Wow, you really nailed the hulk. What's the blue stuff on the bottom? I'd rethink that, it's not very clear. This piece is really quite good, though, nice job!
RoboBOT @ 10/6/2009 8:57:50 AM commented on Monkey Passport Oh I like this! It's stylish. It really would make a great T-shirt (I'd buy one). Except I feel the mountains part on the bottom doesn't really add much to the design. I can't decide which color I like best. Great job!
RoboBOT @ 10/4/2009 11:00:25 AM commented on Iji - fansprite This looks really good. I'm not familiar with the character, but she seems pretty badass. I was really hoping when I clicked on it that she would be animated, perhaps firing that monster of a gun she's holding...
RoboBOT @ 9/30/2009 8:07:24 AM commented on The Cheshire Cat My first thought was, Wow this reminds me of the Cheshire Cat! Then I read the title, haha. Your style is so distinct, it's really great! I love how your palette is colorful but not overpowering. Also, it's great how you portray shadows and dark regions without terribly dark colors. Well done! The paw on the left doesn't read real well to me. I love the pipe and smoke!
RoboBOT @ 9/16/2009 1:26:16 PM commented on are you gonna fly with me? (I doubt this is a color reduction) This looks great! I like how you conveyed so much detail with so few color ramps. The mood of the piece is excellent. I agree tho that the beige/green/grey color ramp needs a bit of improvement. The back corner of the seat on the end really stands out. Great job, you should do more scenes!
RoboBOT @ 9/4/2009 1:58:13 PM commented on Big Bird So I upgraded to Firefox 3.5 recently, despite the scaling issue, because the old version was acting up. I discovered that the add-on "Image Assistant" is a great work-around to the blurring-when-scaling issue. Image Assistant adds an option in the right-click menu for opening an image in your default image viewer (for me on Vista is Windows Photo Gallery). When zooming in windows photo gallery, it doesn't blur the pixels. Until the next version of Firefox at least, it'll do. Anyway, just thought I'd spread the word.
RoboBOT @ 8/30/2009 9:29:24 PM commented on Mobsters? Haha, these are great! You should definitely animate them. The guy on the left is my favorite. The stick (bat? I dunno) that the middle guy is holding seems a bit jagged compared to the rest of the piece. Very smooth overall tho.
RoboBOT @ 8/30/2009 9:27:04 PM commented on mad day out Wow, this is really cool. A little AA on the 3 guys in the back would be nice, but still well done.
RoboBOT @ 8/23/2009 8:16:53 PM commented on Welcome to Grafx2 Nice, I like it. The man is spot on, great job. The perspective on the seat seems off to me, but I'm not sure. Still an excellent piece.
RoboBOT @ 8/20/2009 1:47:19 PM commented on Hellspawn He's cool, I like this. He looks short, like people said, but if you made his head a little smaller, I think it would fix the problem.
RoboBOT @ 8/20/2009 1:43:34 PM commented on you are fast ! This is great. The expression is perfect. I was thinking "LOL", then I scrolled down and found 3 "lol"s already posted, haha.
RoboBOT @ 8/20/2009 1:24:50 PM commented on Bloody, the Nurse This does look nice, you must've worked hard on this. One issue I see, though, is an inconsistent light source. Some parts seemed to be drawn once and then mirrored for the other side (the crosses on her breasts, for one), which screws up the light source. Is the light from the left? right? above? Is it (gasp) between the subject and the viewer? I don't think the piece is ruined by any means, but just something to consider in your next piece. Again, it's a good piece.
RoboBOT @ 8/18/2009 1:34:02 PM commented on octopus This looks more like a squid than an octopus. But no matter. I like it. There are a few areas that could use some touch ups, such as the bubbles (they seem oddly shaped, I dunno) and maybe some more detail on the ground. Perhaps some urchins or anemones? The tentacles definitely need suckers! Some anti-aliasing would help, as well. I really like the colors, tho. Overall, it's a good piece. |
