yam.
I program (in Python, usually). Also I draw, and you can see the pixelliest of the results here.
Much of the software I work on is related to graphics, for example
- HDF5 extended image storage (w/ anchor points, more flexible colormap)
- Flexible colorization/ ramp organizing system
- Pixlab. an image manipulation library built on Numpy arrays
- GPixmint, a macro host for GIMP, and many many macros for it
- Gimplets, library of convenience functions for GIMP
- I occasionally contribute code to GIMP[1] itself. More often I contribute bug reports and testing.
I have a philosophy of '
using automation where it's possible and you know just what it's doing, is better than laboring to produce a result you could describe mathematically.'
As you might suspect from that, I disagree about what is pixel art with the admins/moderators here, so not all of my pixel art is up here. I plan to upload the pixel art that does not qualify for submission, as well as my other art, to DA sometime :)
None of my projects are yet up on PyPI[2]
I run Linux (Ubuntu 8.04) on my computer, with the latest GIMP, Scipy, Inkscape,
etc[3] uptodate within a few weeks.
