I can see how your work in these restrictions have influenced your modern pieces, like the Nietzsche one.

Wicked! Very good design!

Whoa... this is so good!
The face just seems to be part of the background, but we can still see clearly it isn't.

Wow, this is a brilliant piece of work. I love your styles with triangles, it really makes it feel very modern. Seeing this makes me feel like I would want to try something like this. But I know my attempt wouldn't turn out so well like yours did. Brilliant piece once again.

It's so stylish, great work nice use of the triangles once again.
Although I would agree that the C64 palette is a bit cluttered.

It rocks! One of the best pixel art i've seen!

5/5!

I second that about printing it large for a great poster, or maybe on canvas.

I actually had the thought before reading Monkeyspork's comment. Although I'd want a vector version with all anti-aliased edges so the triangles aren't jaggy once printed. Or would that look better, perhaps truer to the original??

whhhoOOOOOOOOooooooooooooooooooooooooooooOOOOOOOOOoooooooo, it rocks

Dang, man. That awsome. Even when it comes to triangles, a MADNESS MOSAIC.

Thanks for the comments, everybody.

Anlina S. : good analogy, although I probably dislike Mack's work for being so one-track on the whole. Great, versatile artist he is, though.

This is really beautiful and unique. It reminds me of David Mack's work.

Nobody's stopping you from printing this large at a local copy house and carrying on. If you do, I'd like to see pictures of the wall in question!

user
Monkeyspork (Level 1 Rookie) at 7/28/2006 9:46:44 AM
I really like it, if you made a print of it i would defernately buy it. Or id get a black and white version and print it across one of my walls ^-^

I prefer it in the oranges myself.  Never been a fan of the C64 palette.

this looks absolutely amazing. :)

user
Ro83rt (Level 1 Jukyu) at 7/27/2006 9:08:32 PM

Very interesting. Lose the big triangle as it is kinda distracting. I like the orange color scheme that was used in the preview better. It gave it a nice mood to the piece. The 64 pallete just makes it look cluttered.

P.S. Congrats on the award for 1st prize pixel art. Loved your Spartan peice.

user

Wouldn't never guessed it's C-64 work. Outstanding.

user

I love the subtle lines you've added to it to show the face and expression. I really like the depth aswel. Hell, i like it all. The orange colour edit is easier to understand and look at though, i think. But i do find the C64 one much more interesting.

How the heck do you do it...

user

Amazing! Reminds me of Chuck Close's art. I love it.
