This was done about two years ago. A friend of mine and me wanted to create a simple vertical jump & run game where one has to slay enemies, collect treasures and jump on the next platform before the the current one scrolls out of the screen.
Multiplayer would've made it even funnier I think, because of hacking and slashing with about 8 friends, I mean, who doesn't want to hack at somebody with a big, BIG knife? :)

Yeah well, we never finished due to him being too busy. I discovered that the hero's colors just didn't have enough contrast and that sucked, well, so we canceled :)

You may have guessed so already: I was inspired by Metal Slug animation circles. The legs, you know? Heck, how much time I once spent on studying the 8-frame-animations of Metal Slug...
