This was mostly an experiement with animating a different type of walk cycle, using all the individual body parts as cutout elements that move around each other, with another "cleanup" layer on top for fixing the outline and adjusting other stray pixels here and there. The awkwardness is half-intentional and half accidental; I definitely wanted to keep the arms moving in the same direction as the legs, as opposed to opposite the legs, to show the awkwardness of the monster. It might still need some work but I think the result is pretty neat.

Yeah kinda agree with stitchy about the front shoulder. It does kinda roll around a bit to high, which makes it look a bit detached (i suppose it is frank and hes sewn together tho so...). Its not really that noticable until you zoom in. Awsome walkcyle Legs following arms is great. Deffo a fav.

Well, it's kind of hard to say just how a man who is made of a number people's body parts would move his shoulders. :B I think the actual problem could be that his arm looks too detached from his body when the problem shoulder moves, not so much the rise of it. The shoulder just might be too wide. If anything, this is really awesome... walking animations can be a pain, but other than the shoulder, this is just... <3

As always, your walking animations are awesome. Great job.

Thanks everybody! I agree with TheChaindog; there's a problem with the shoulders, and that part is nagging at me worse than anything else. I like the path of the hands, though, so I might actually make the arms shorten a little on some frames to make the shoulder movement less exaggerrated.

I love how his arms move with the legs, excellent walk cycle, fitting to frankenstein haha

I think the shoulders might move a little too much, but other than that, the anim looks pretty nice.

The result is quite amazing ... I really like the way you explain the animation process.
