have to agree, the horizon is rather sharp ... could do with either defocussing or adding a real horizon (townsilhouet, forest whatever really to break it up)

also, the highlights on the tree could be harder and a bit wider for added mood. also the color is not really sunsettish ... needs more oranges

This is nice, I like the colours and calm mood. Maybe you could try adding a few colours and bluring the horizon line so it looks out of focus - that line is quite strong at the moment.
