if it were handmade it would have much better shapes. sacrificing true darkness (over the whole picture) for relative (more shades in a place) , like putting a grey shade behind the nose, as to show where the nose is. this ''true'' colouring makes it flat ( imagine how much rounder the forehead would look with an extra shade to ..shade

No ,tomic, I think that you're wrong. Just people  from Ruda Slaska-town in Poland-using strange way to do an dithering, other way than rest of World. Please accept that picture ;)
