"Secrets of the Acropolis" ("ΤΑ ΜΥΣΤHΡΙΑ ΤΗΣ ΑΚΡOΠΟΛΗΣ"), an only finished Classic GameBoy mock-up I've ever made. 1, 2, 3, 4 unique colours borrowed from the NO$GMB (a GB emulator) palette.

If you're interested in some details, look THAT THREAD up. There you will also find a story for the imagined game.

Unfortunately, neither you nor I would ever have chance to play such a game on the real console. I just broke some restrictions I had no idea of. The number of sprites per a scanline, colours per one 8*8 square, to name just a few, and generally everything concerning the limited memory bank.

I see your point, FlyGuy. Indeed, in opposite to a detailed background, the foreground piece appear quite plain. I had a few ideas of how to make that more harmonious (including the things mentioned), but editing a somehow old work wouldn't be quite fair, I guess.

If I'll be making another game hoax (and surely I will), I take it into account.

This has a lot of really neat aspects. I really love the way the mountains are reflected in the water. But I do have to slightly agree with On1sT that something about it is just not eye catching like most mock ups are. I think the big door is to plain, maybe put a couple of those greek letters on the entrance or something. Maybe even a greek god statue on top of the little door way thing. 4/6 cuz i love the dithering in the water. :-)

That's nice, it looks very tidy. The only thing that I could see being improved is the inside of the temple that looks a bit plain compared to the rest...

Actually, I'm quite curious how would it look if adapted to a cartridge and watched on the DMG screen. How those detailed dithering patterns would behave?
