This is an old Atari ST image, which I created on the little known Atari version of DPaint (which, if I remember correctly, had a very different layout and was probably not coded by Dan Silva). The inspiration for this came from the cover of the Iain M. Banks book 'Use of Weapons', circa 1992 in the UK. I didn't actually buy the book until about 10 years later but I remembered the cover, went home and pixelated something similar!

Great image. Lotta love went into it I can tell. I had an Atari ST too, and I remember Antialiasing by hand in . Thanks for the memories! I think that art package was called Degas, allthought I couldn't find a quick search of the interface in google images so I'm not sure.

Great job! Reminds me of some of my favorite Sci-Fi artists - Syd Mead, Rodney Mathews, Cris Foss, to name a few. I've been waiting for something like this to show up on this site. I'd love to see you do some Rodger Dean style pictures as well as some logos too!

Most of your work has this retro SF feel a la Rodney Matthews and co.
Very refreshing!
The cliff on the right is a bit below the quality of the rest of the pic, but great stuff none the less.
