"Final Fantasy Tactics Advance - Ides of March Edition" mockup for the weekly challenge. Back in 44 BC handheld entertainment systems could only do three colors, you know.

I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out, especially knowing how bad I am with this dithering thing. It was really fun drawing this.

I have kept the original HUD design, so that could be considered ripped.

I disagree with Adarias about it being hard to read.  I find all the detail and shapes easier to read than most game shots that have many more colors.  Perhaps cos I'm used to similar looking games on the Amstrad CPC.  Anyways great work.  Something about this (perhaps the retro feel) makes me like this far, far more than other isometric games.

Great Idea, Great execution and Great style. The dithering is done really well as you don't lose focus on any of the characters

Love it, hits me full with nostalgia...
For three colors, there's so much personality in the sprites, too. If only more NES games had these graphics.... Thumbs up from me

It's debatable.  Brutus being questioned by name ( Et tu, Brute ) is the more popular version, I believe.

The only thing which is bothering me is the french message on the preview, it's grammatically wrong. If you wanted to say "And you, Brutus ?", it would be "Et toi, Brutus ?".  >.<

The palette makes me think of when I'd play a regular GameBoy game on the GameBoy Color, and it'd just color whatever the hell it wanted to apparently. Nice idea along with it.

Making Caesar's death look like a final fantasy tactics battle is awesome!  If I were Caesar, I would move into the corner so I couldn't be attacked from 2 sides...  That'll show those traitorous bastards who they're messing with...

And as for the Hud thing, i don't think it'll be an issue, your just using a resource to "Enhance" the feel of your work.
