Werewolf in wolf form :: Pixel Art Detail

You need to study the anatomy of wolves! This is completely wrong.. First of all wolves legs does not bend forward at the "knee joint" they bend backwards.. and the rib cage is too far down on the body. I think you did less well copying the style as you did emulating one of his pieces. You essentially drew his "Werewolf" as a wolf, copying the palette, shading and texture, and facial expression/structure. I would have liked more to see an original concept rendered with his stylistic quirks, techniques, and trademarks.

The art is pretty good technically, but the legs and body lack muscle structure; the hips are more complex than simple ellipsoid shapes and the body lacks ribs. Adding such muscular and skeletal forms would have helped this piece to seem in his style, as the bulging muscles and defined chest and stomach on the reference/inspiration piece illustrate.

Good job, looks pretty Ahruon's. Reminded me also of Surt's art. I don't like the pose as it looks pretty horse-ish. Also the tail strangly reminds me of a horse. I think you made a great job with style following but the anatomy of the wolf isn't followed. Still I like it, the shading is really nice.
