I started this pixel art a year or two ago, but I never finished it until now. It's based on a poem I liked, written by Apollinaire (you can read it below, but it's in french :/) If you understand it, note that it's not an exact representation of the poem, and the thing at the bottom is a broken bottle of whine : P Nuit rhénane Mon verre est plein d'un vin trembleur comme une flamme Écoutez la chanson lente d'un batelier Qui raconte avoir vu sous la lune sept femmes Tordre leurs cheveux verts et longs jusqu'à leurs pieds Debout chantez plus haut en dansant une ronde Que je n'entende plus le chant du batelier Et mettez près de moi toutes les filles blondes Au regard immobile aux nattes repliées Le Rhin le Rhin est ivre où les vignes se mirent Tout l'or des nuits tombe en tremblant s'y refléter La voix chante toujours à en râle-mourir Ces fées aux cheveux verts qui incantent l'été Mon verre s'est brisé comme un éclat de rire

in a few words, it's a little tale about a man trying to avoid the mermaid's song. So he drinks whine-gets drunk in the end- and stays close to women trying not to hear it

I only can read French a little, but from a few words I know, the poem sounds very good!

Also, the artwork to it is awesome aswell. :)

I like water and mermaind, but rocks are very flat. Yes, red accent is really awsome. Good work, dude

I really like how bold and simple everything is without compromising detail or quality. The red shells are exceptionally beautiful.
