I think a fair bit of AA would help this immensely. Also, a bit hard to distinguish the nearest troops from one another.
The robots would beat the koopas, but once it gets down to the Big Bosses, Robotnik's got no chance.

I love the idea! But it looks a lot like Bowser and Dr. Robotnik were just copied and pasted over this.  Maybe AA would help.  5/5

This picture is great. I love the concept, and the technique is excellent.

btw, Robotnik's pawns would definitely win. Sonic > Mario (except now; Mario's definitely done a better job of standing the test of time).

I can see that becoming an RTS type of game in the future.

I liek the selout cuz it gives it some sort of actual videogamey feel, if that makes sense. AA would make it boring.

I could see this in a game.

Blicks comments are valid, but I think it works well.

Immediately zoomed in and really admiring pixels here and there before looking at 1X. As a huge fan of your work I really find this beautiful and fantastic...Blick's comment however is a very keen analytical observation that is in fact true. Not that it takes away from really liking it tho.

The selective outlining is too harsh and just draws attention to most of the edges rather than smoothing them and the ambient light is too noticeable and confuses more than it helps. I'd also say it's too opaque.

 The ambience doesn't look like it belongs with the image, it seems a bit distracting, but I do however like it on the Big Bad Bosses. Also Bowser's nose seems slightly out of perspective, mostly because the side that's supposed to be facing away from us, seems to actually be facing us, I would think that it would look better if you at least showed less of the left side (from Bowser's perspective). Most of the koopas furthur back in the crowd look pretty blocky, you should round up and smooth them out. Eggman's Bots look fine to me. I think the coulds are great, good colors too I like the atmosphere. Great job on the whole thing though, hope my critique helped ;)

Whoa, when I looked at this it took me a minute before I realized that the picture wasn't a reference to this scene. Lord Crump is weirdly similar to Robotnik.

Sweet picture, btw. The purple light is kinda wonky, though. The areas around it look too dark, and it seems especially weird when you consider it doesn't seem to be coming from anywhere.

He never said they were robots... =.

This is sexy. I love the purple ambience under Robotnik's hand. You managed to use good angles, positioning, and size to create a heated scene full of intensity.

Maybe you could change the facial expressions or at least the eyes of some of the yoshi turtles.
