The preview indicated a brighter scene, and that's what I hoped for, but this is certainly not even close to a disappointment.

Cóż, twoje prace są dobre. Widać, że już troszkę w tym siedzisz. Ale chyba masz jeszcze problemy z techniką. Używasz dużej ilości kolorów(nie jest to minus ;)), ale w niektórych miejscach AA szwankuje. Ale ćwicz. Oby tak dalej ;)

IMO 0 to smudgy(rozmazane), but thats just my opinion. I see pixel art as a perfectly sharp and vivid pixelized image. Maybe thats why you say it isnt pixel art :D

To me it's not a matter of "is it pixel art or not". On the artistic register, I appreciate the other-worldly mood you've created. The color forcing is very effective and the composition is generally well executed. A few forms lack solid construction, like the leaf-less tree closest to the viewer (the left edge makes it look very flat, and it looks like you fixed the tangents on the right by just blurring).

On the pixel art register, the aesthetic falls on its face. There are very few indicators of good technique, and you ignore the level of control inherent to the media. I can almost pick any edge and see a blurry or jagged mess. In addition, you make no attempt at conserving the palette.

Overall, it's a good digital piece but ultimately fails as pixel. Whether or not you actually did it by hand is irrelevant to this conclusion.

This is flabberghasting. FLABBERGHASTING (I dont have a clue as of the meaning of this word, but it sounds awesome and it makes me sound smart. Well it would if it wasnt followed with my enquiring about its meaning. Ah, well!)

Great colours. Its just sweet. 192 is a lot, but I dont think that colour economy was your goal here anyways!

And, this could very well be pixel art. Its colour count is very high but it also has a lot of different hues... It could certainly have less colours of course, but color count by itself isnt enough to rule a piece out of pixel art, really. I get a problem when there are so many colors that are so close to one another the human eye can barely make them out as two separate colours. It is the case with your "children of the damned" image, where some colors are so close, they seem like their hues where generated by a computer, and not by you. This image here though, doesnt have this problem at all. (It also looks much better because of it)

W sumie to jesteś swój, bo nie wiedziałem, że z Polski. Dopiero tak teraz patrzę w profilu. Praca jest świetna po za tym, że góra tego drzewa jest zbyt gruba. Oczywiście to tylko moje zdanie. Twoje prace mnie powalają. Resztę skomentuję jutro, bo już ciemno :P
