Judging by the quality of your past works, I am inclined to believe that this has been photoshopped and then color-reduced.Adarias mentioned something about a program which auto-dithers, or something similar, and I think that's what you used here.
Honestly, you look like you're just on the verge of finding out not to use black outlines, and then you give us this?

Very nice. Love the overdithered style. Reminds me of Benefactor!Only crit is that the crumbling at the bottom looks 2d-ish.

The dither on the background sky is o so good yet i agree with larwick about the moonthing and theres like a dark spot under the star aswell it looks really odd

Wow, dreamy.. That cresent on the top right is horribly wobbly and odd looking. What is it? If it's meant to be a moon, it doesn't look like one. D:
I actually like the dull colours.
@ philipptr, it's probably cus of the really odd dithering style he uses and the large amount of colours... i don't think it is colour reduced though.

nice work, colors are too flat though, you need some really dark areas and some really light areas to give it more depth.
