Ahh, "sputnik" by sputnik. I agree with jalonso, you do have potential. You defined the light source and blah blah blah. Anyway, I think you should try dithering to give it a rougher, but more interesting look. Good job with your lineart though, and the preview animation is good too.

Simple and boring. However the coloring is good and the lineart is clean. Very resfreshing from a new member. The icon with the red letter is more stylish. You have potential, I can tell. Welcome.
