Temple of Jalonso :: Pixel Art Detail

On a distant far away galaxy exists a hidden world. Ruled by the mighty bug lord Jalonso, it's society is hell-bent on dominating the universe by infesting every planet like a bad tuna fish sandwich. NO-ONE disobeys the lord, in fact, no-one has the ability to. Once a planet rich with culture, the Jalonsians fell to mass consumerism which eventually led to one corporation ruling all. Who better to lead two hundred million mindless drones on a path of total destruction and carnage across the galaxy than the mighty Jalonso, CEO, CFO, EXE, RTFM of Jalonso Enterprises Corporation Inc. Corp. XIIV LLC.

Anyway, been throwing around some lines since I made that statement in the chatterbox the other day, had a lot of crap and decided to just play with colors instead. Threw down a skull, some dirt, a sky, could really see what could be there, wanted to give the impression of epic massiveness when it came to the tower of jalonso so I tried to add little building shilouettes at the base, kind of creeping up towards the great dome of Jalonso ( no i didn't name all this shit, making it up now ). I really thought most of my focus would be on the land and skull but I spent most of my time with the buildings and doing the animation. Had lots of fun, learned a ton about using new colors and did this as a big thanks to Jal, he's really helped me out in the last few weeks and given me great insight and wisdom, something that you can't buy.
