Since this is not a real game art its ok (I mean its not used on a game) but if it was to be used you would like to make the tiles lower, so that you can make a stairs... right now it would be a little hard to make a walking animation, you would need a climbing one.
Other than that, is awesome! And I am taking this as a reference for my tactical spriting.

Looks very authentic and well done. Big fan of the portrait. It might be a good idea to move the attack menu down on level with the character info. Also, the shadows might look better if they were just a tad lighter. That isn't a big deal though, simply my own preference.

All in all, very nice.

not so much a fan of the HUD, especially since it covers up what looks like a very ncie tree, but i like everything else :P
