Zombie portrait and sprite for a zombie game. Didn't like the BG tiles much, so it died.

That's the problem with manually doing it, you prolly missed subtle things like the eye colours being different. No doubt about it that this is wasting tons of colours.

this 25 is coming from the piece ! I compted the colors manually, one by one.

im getting 16 cols and 17 cols for sprite and portrait for total of 30 colours. I dont understand where this 25 is coming from. Since this piece got me up to level 2, i tried looking into using the desat greens on the sprite. Could work, but only with some playing around. doesn't look it, but the dark greens are very dark and dont work as a midtone for the sprite.

Sorry, but this is as finished as it will get. I really feel like shooting myself for the selout on the hair. Makes it look like a zombie wig.

I dig it. But I agree with surt, you should make them look more alike. In the eye area especially.

Good stuff, reckon sprite would look nicer if it used the same desat greens as the portrait though.
