This is very nice.  The coloring and shading is quite exceptional.  The antialiasing is too, for the most part.

While neota feels the image lacks a focal point, I feel otherwise - the area of the eyes (eyebrows, eyes and nose) seems very strongly to be the focus of the image, regardless of the presence of antialiasing there.

The only problem I see is with the back of the neck.  It's my opinion that the antialiasing isn't done as effectively as elsewhere in the image, as the line making up the neck appears a bit jagged, even at the regular resolution.

Definitely a nice avatar.  I'm surprised that you only have three pieces in your gallery.  It will be nice to see more from you :-)

Never made him before, but I had a picture in my mind how I wanted it to be - I took an camera shot with the expression in mind and kinda looking from below..

It wouldnt surprise me if there is something simular since I saw it in my mind. Maybe some blizzard art or warhammer. Tell me if you find it :)
