This was just some robot I doodled. I scaned it, enlarged it, colored, then animated. I was planing on animating it further  but i just settled with this (those two antennas are actually propellers, they would flip upwards and the octagon like shoulders would also rotate, creating a helecopter thing). I might do that someday, but for now enjoy this!

I've thought about creating a deviantart account, but I thought it would be kind of usless, I wouldn't post very much stuff, I post stuff here because it specializes in only pixle art...(any advice from anyone else!!)

Anyway, back to my actual piece, I had noticed before that the large gun does not light anything up... I might repost this with more animations (recoil) and fix some of the bugs, but that won't be for awhile.

This is great!

But I feel the second gun firing is odd... First of all, it doesn't cast any light when fired, when the chaingun does, second, that's a pretty big blast and still no recoil...

Hi, I am the Gallery Director for PixelArt at deviantART. This is a fun piece and I think it would make a good Daily Deviation Feature on deviantART.  I would imagine you could pick up plenty of faves and maybe a few thousand views. Have you thought of becoming a member, it is free and you get huge exposure there...if  that is what you want of course!  =)

Yeah, the chain gun firing is kinda screwd up...lets just call it technologially advanced. As for the perspective, I personaly do not see any problems, but that is probably because I had a specific idea. The arms do look only 2-D (as in no 3-D 2-D effects) but i guess that is because I tried to make the arms non-rectangular which does not really fit the rest of the robot.

The shading on the grey parts is a bit off, that's because I was trying to expeiment with different textures and materials. So the shading and lightsource is used more to enhace different surfaces and shapes than to create an environment. The hand is my least favorite part of the robot, I did that the quickest.

well, afew points i would like to ask/mention:
as far as i know, when the machine gun fires, only one of the cannons is used.
it appears that torso, legs feet and arms have sligthy  diferent perspectives
the texture on the hands, knees and other metal parts does appear to be flat.
while teh shading on the green metal parts is exelent, the shading on the grey ones is pretty simple and lacks a real lightsource. (and in the case of the hands is sligthy pillowshaded)

Wow, that's amazing.  I love the glare off its lens when it changes position.  Very nice.  The smoke is a nice effect, as well.
