Martian - The War of The Worlds Style :: Pixel Art Detail

This is a Martian as described in H. G. Wells' The War of The Worlds. I made it high priority to only make creative lisence where it would be neccessary to join together Well's descriptions. I took great pride in trying to make it true to the original description, as opposed to all those cheap versions of The War of The Worlds, where the Martians look nothing like how they were described in the book, which totally spoils the effect for me. The eyes, I feel, could be better, as they are not quite how I recall them being described in the book. Also, they appear rather comical, if you remove the dark flaps/eyelids and look at it, taking note of the mouth/beak thing on its face (see its likeness to the "O RLY Owl". This was totally accidental). But overall I am proud of it. It took me a few hours, on and off, probably about 5/8. Please comment and make suggestions if you like, to do with improving this piece, please. Any of these would be helpful very much. Over and out...or not actually...Chris.
