Yes I agree. This is definitly made by using just the pencil tool. If you zoom in you can see the pixels are placed very controlled. 30 is quite a lot for a pic with only three basic colours though. Every beginning is hard. Follow littlesapphire's good advice and soon you'll be a champ.

I'm going to have to say I agree that it was done with the pencil tool. There are lots of subtle colors in there, but they were laid down precisely rather than randomly, as an air brush would. 30 colors are a lot, but I think it's a good piece never the less. I would suggest darkening those subtle colors, though. Give the skin tones more contrast. Or simply get rid of some of them. Nice job though.

Pixel art is made using the pencil tool only!All other tools are a no-no (spraycan, dodge, burn etc.)
