the challenge may be the point of inspiration, but in any case should be considered as the only reason.

Thanks for the comments, I am going to try and get some more work done before the challenge ends but because of job constraints it may be difficult. I'm not really concerned with placing in the weekly challenge as I am just using them as an excuse to try different things and to hopefully improve my pixel and animation skills.

still, a bit more "life" in the the itself would really improve the animation... and turn it more into an animation rather  than a power point transition effect :P

you still have plenty time, why don't give this one a bit more love?

Oh, this ani is waaaaaaaaaay better.

Pretty good job with this new animation! The frame before and after it stops is a bit choppy, and you can really see the looping when it just flips from left to right at the end.

What I meant by cut off is that In the original, the left side is a bit more curvy.

For the dripping if you're still doing it, you can just make the drops continually longer and cut them off at different points in the animation. If you're not making a background they could drop "off screen".

Well, made an update to the animation. Unfortunately I won't get to work more on this during the week because of work. I am learning though.

I think this is quite nice but it really looks cut off on the left side because it's completely straight.
For the anim, I think you should take a look at the game space harrier for some inspiration, it has a somewhat similar style and perspective.

Thanks for the crit Flarfy.  I am pretty new to pixel art and especially animation.  I wanted to start doing the challenges to get better at both.  I agree the anim does look lame.  Going to try and edit it before the end of the week.

The eye in itself is really nice made, but the animation is really, well... lame. Sorry. I know animation isn't easy, but you can do better than that. Make the eye blink or look from side to side or something. Plenty of time left for an edit

Thanks to jalonso for reminding me that I forgot to check the weekly challenge checkbox. Just an FYI to the admins, when I went to "edit details" from my original submission I did not get the checkbox for the challenge submission. So this is a repost. Bug mabye?
