An hour of work packed into a tiny not-all-that-great 16-color 51x45 icon. It's my girlfriend and me. My tiny reference picture is here. Man, there's only so much detail you can put into something so small. :) Edits from originally posted version: I removed two colors, touched up faces, added a border, and increased the contrast. If it looks better, I'll replace the file here.

yup, even that simple a frame makes the flesh stand out, imo.

Thanks for the reply. Should I post this one (with the modifications you suggested), then? I don't like the idea of increased contrast on the faces for some reason, though, so I didn't really do much of that. Did edit a few pixels in the faces, though.

I think that second (linked) looks a little better. The facial contrast seems low to me on both tho : /

I think some sort of 'frame' might make this seem more finished and better presented.
