Entry for challenge over at pixelation. Task was to create a film based mockup in NES specs. Should comply with all the restrictions. It's supposed to be "La cité des enfant perdus", tho resemblance isn't exactly stellar EDIT: Updated with 2. palette as proposed by ptoing on pixelation. Didn't see the movie ... so can't comment on that. But I love the nostalgic feel of it!

The first thing that hit me was (as already mentioned) that the colors are all wrong compared to the movie. Besides that it's a really nice mockup.

I remember having read somewhere that the actors wore white makeup, so that when the colors were changed, they would still appear to have skincolors. Or something like that.

Yeah, from what I remember they utilized the whole red/green contrast a lot. And "city of lost children" is the English title, I've never heard the real one till now. Didn't one have a striped sweater in the movie, or was that just the girl's shirt?

I can actually see how this could be a game based on the movie. I agree with Cure though, the blue doesn't fit so much. Would have looked better with an orange/red theme methinks.

It was close enough for me to recognize it. Maybe it was the platform in the background that gave it away. It does seem much bluer than most of the movie, though.
Either way, good work.
