Nifty. I was gonna do a Medusa-hair-combing-scene, too, but this would have made mine look boring and drab. Plus, wearing the same pixels to a competition... awkward...

Thanks for all the kind words. I had considered giving the dizzy snakes some motion, but the original idea was that she was brushing them out so they would stay still.

Bloo: It has 6 frames. I thought about adding more, but I didn't have a lot of time to work on this one and tried to stretch as few frames as I could.

the very subtle motion of the snakes on the right side (our right) of the image really draws attention to other areas that aren't in subtle motion (like the flaps of her dress or the other other snakes on the left). This is a minor thing as the image is really really good as is! I think if alll the snakes were in the same subtle motion it would really improve this!

Great concept, animation and pixelling. :)
The snakes above the brushed one seem too static in comparison to the others, i don't think it'd be too hard to move them around a bit too. Also after a while it becomes obvious that the other snake heads are repeated... maybe add some slight variation there?
