So this is the main character's ship for that game I have to do for Computer Science, and the first sprite I did for it.

All this stuff is way out of my element, so I can't say it's terribly amazing, but at least the project is getting me to try different things.

The Havok Zone/Squirrelsquid influence is a lot less strong in this one.

I like the way you do metal.  The effects could use a little bit of work, I think.  The fluid(?) centre could be a lot more dynamic, which would add considerably to the dynamism of the piece.  Overall this is very good, especially considering how out of your element it is!

I don't really know either. I guess it's a power source of some kind.

The story for the game is abysmal, and I don't have much of a say in anything other than the art. The backgrounds are godawful, and at this point I'm just trying to do the best I can with the stuff that I was assigned before the school year ends. :(

Indeed, this loosk promising. Squid's influence, even when it less evident than other images, is still noticeable. digging the out-of-the box concept.

by the way, mind a description of the ship itself?(if there's one, of course) I do want to know what is that red cristal thing is.

This one is even better. It looks awesome. EDIT: I'd vote, but I don't have the level yet.
