A jellyfish! might add more of the animations here as I do them, so check back later. Its a baddie for a water-themed game I got in mind.

*Edited the jellyfish's "head" as Fool suggested, making the red disappear rather than just squeezing it as the head thins out. Thanks Fool! Compare the detail picture to the preview picture to notice the difference.

Awesome, works well as an attack.

You are a great animator. I think it would be cool to see some bubbles, just to show the direction hes moving.

heh thanks. But now jellyfishes are always sort of creepy arnt they. Theyre like the aquatic versions of large, hairy thin legged spiders.

FrankieSmileShow (Level 6 Manager) at 5/16/2008 3:50:41 AM
ah, you mean do like the tendrils are thinning out when stretching? Thats a good idea, ill try it out.

Also, the thing about it looking like the there is stretching, someone else told me that already, but its strange though, because there is actually only one frame where the tendrils are straight, so I don't know why it would look like a stretch... Maybe its just because of how long the creature gets, combined with how sudden the movement is? I wasn't sure at first, but now that I see more people see a weird stretching, I'll try out a few things.

Great Franky, as usual=)
Body fold got the feel of resizing flat image, i think dimensionally would looks better if you'll  fade out  dark blue and bright pink hues in that transition.

How did I miss this one.

Great as always Frankie...

A little creepy, yet really cool and well-executed at the same time.

FrankieSmileShow (Level 6 Manager) at 5/10/2008 7:15:45 AM
Its not the jellyfish's normal swimming animation, its a burst of speed that functions as an attack, its why its so sudden. The normal movement will be way slower and smoother.

A.B. (Level 6 Serial Killer) at 5/10/2008 2:48:27 AM

I think it's a little too fast for a jellyfish. Jellyfishes usually are slow and smooth in their movements.

Great animation and (use of) colors, though.
