Yes, it's on purpose. I wanted something a bit weird about the character, but this is all I could find, at this size. I've tried a few walk cycles before settling for this one. The man's still moving too fast for my taste, but that's another story...

. You're right, the walk cycle is not very smooth. I've drawn 3 cycles for this animation but this is the only one I liked. It's a bit weary, one might say the character has one leg shorter... and I guess that's why I chose it. And the rebel pixel must be a leftover from one of the character frames, I think. Too bad I didn't see it sooner, I'm not changing it now.

I was thinking of adding the whole series, I'd like to see how pixel-related people respond to the idea. Thanks again.

The walk cycle is a bit jumpy...and there's a random black pixel that appears on the third line from the bottom...

but despite that I love the quirky style...I'd be interested in seeing the other parts of this series
