A small platform game project I'm making together with a buddy from school. It will basically play like Megaman. This is a running animation. Let me know what you think!

No actually for this one I didn't use any references more than that for the design of the character.
I had looked at some megaman animations before I started though so I pretty much knew what I was going for and it's possible that that influenced me ;D
I made a stick man animation to begin with and then I "fleshed" it out. That's how I normally go about it.

Yeah I know the head has some issues that I will look at soon and I'll probably do some color adjustments later on the suit aswell.

Heh, the running style reminds me of Megaman! Did you happen to use any Megaman sprites for a reference? They're really good when it comes to running animations.

Anyhow, this looks great. I'd say the head could use a bit more work though. The yellow ear piece seems to ignore the turning somewhat by not changing its shape/perspective. And that fin at the back of his head doesn't move like the top of his head, so that's kind of off putting. And the mouth line actually juts out in one of the frames, so that's also kind of odd.

But you got the harder parts done very well!

man that is really quite good! The subtle turning of the head almost looks 3D. Great job!
