It is certainly enough contrast on the legs. It's just that the rest of the body seems so ... plastic and balloon-ish. Just increase the contrast on the body, head and arms and I'm sure it'll get far much greater than it already is.

I think I didn't get what you mean by "deeper" shading, by the way;
you mean that there s not enough contrast or that he just needs clothes?
